The options below are only activated when you publish your document - either on uploading to the Internet, or using Format | Publish Document. To edit your Publish Settings:
On the Edit menu, select Preferences.
Select Publish on the tree view of the Preferences dialog (you may need to scroll down the tree view).
Instead of publishing your website to the Internet your can choose to publish it to a directory. This option is used for people wishing to publish to an Intranet. If you choose this option then you should also specify your Publishing Directory.
Generally this option should be left checked. It replaces DOS style paths with UNIX style paths.
If you have used any extended characters in your web document, HotDog can automatically translate them into HTML on publishing.
HTML text without carriage returns appears as one long line. It looks terrible. Should you want your webpage source devoid of carriage returns, this is the option for you.
These options let you select in which case your tags will appear.
Your tags are left as you typed them.
Your tags are all converted to uppercase.
Your tags are all converted to lowercase. (Much more readable for humans.)
You can save your document as a Windows (recommended), UNIX or Amiga file format.
